Experience Tacoma Event: Indo Cooking Class

img_0677

Early last week, as others battled Monday blues, Experience Tacoma threw a party with Indo Asian Street Eatery! The very special guests had previously read-up on the local, family-owned restaurant in a feature by ExperienceTacoma.com. They then submitted their names for a private cooking class by head chef and owner Yu, and his life and business partner, Buoy. The wine was opened and the stove top heated as everyone entered the otherwise “closed on Mondays” Stadium eatery.

Four pairs of participants received a first-hand view of the commercial kitchen and were guided through the step-by-step process of preparing a traditional three-course Asian fusion inspired meal. The menu included chicken and shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls, tangy Green Papaya Salad and a flavorful Chicken Phad Thai.

The festivity was the first of its kind and the full-fledged success has Yu and Buoy considering offering future opportunities like it. Experience Tacoma will undoubtedly continue its community networking and partnership endeavors to provide many more reasons for you to Experience Tacoma with us.

You’re going to want to get in on this. Big things are happening near you.
Join the movement. Experience Tacoma!
